Listening to “Life Is” was a refreshing experience. This baroque pop and psychedelic track features ethereal, heavenly vocals that captivate from start to finish. One of my favorite parts of the song is the lyric: “‘Cause I can feel my luck has turned it all around / And when you’ve fallen out, get both feet on the ground / The curses you keep won’t follow you now.” I also like the dreamy album artwork which visually, accurately represents the song.

This song was released on the indie label “Mexican Summer” on February, 13 2024. The instrumentation includes bongos, drums, light guitars, bass, and string synths, all complemented by Jessica’s enchanting voice. The harmonies and melodies are truly mesmerizing, and the song concludes with a soothing, fading guitar outro. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this track and am excited to hear more from Jessica Pratt.
